Hi Feng Wang,

If you're still having trouble getting the Remote Greenstone Server's
upload-collection-file and similar commands to work, will you try the
following? I have assumed you are using the binary release of GS3 from
SourceForge.

1. Follow all the steps on the wiki page (from a previous email, I think
you have done this step already).

2. Make back-up copies of your gsdlCGI4gs3.pm and gliserver4gs3.pl

3. Download the slightly modified versions of these two files from SVN:
http://trac.greenstone.org/browser/greenstone3/trunk/web/WEB-INF/cgi/gsdlCGI4gs3.pm
http://trac.greenstone.org/browser/greenstone3/trunk/web/WEB-INF/cgi/gliserver4gs3.pl

4. Maybe you want to go and check that the new gliserver4gs3.pl still
works as before by pointing your browser to
http://yourhost:yourport/greenstone3/cgi-bin/gliserver4gs3.pl?cmd=check-installation
If that worked out alright:

(5. This step is only for making the preview button come alive when you
finished building: If you haven't already done so, then in GLI, set your
preview command through File > Preferences > Connection. For instance,
I've got it set to: firefox %1)

6. Create and build a sample collection with one or two documents.

Does the build output no longer say 0 documents considered for processing?

Anupama
