I would like to try Greenstone 2.50 to create collections from Word, Marc
and HTML documents.

What OS and configuration is better to use Greenstone for collection
creation?

1) What WIndows ? (Windows 2000, Windows XP)

2) What Linux ?( RH 9, Mandrake 10, Fedora, Slackware)
Maybe for Linux it is just important what libraries are used? ( gcc
3.2.2,perl 5.8.2 , java 1.4.2 ,etc)

Any advice will be appreciated,
