Hi Michael,

Please try using the "Export to CD-ROM" function of the Greenstone Librarian Interface (Greenstone v2.41). This will tell you more about what is going wrong. (The Collector is not good at giving reasons for errors, which is one reason why we strongly recommend the GLI is used instead).

The export to CD-ROM functionality requires these files and folders to be present in your Greenstone installation:

images
macros
mappings
etcmain.cfg
binjavaPhind.jar
binwindowsserver.exe
binwindowsgssetup.exe
binwindowsSetup.exe
binwindows et16
binwindows et32
binwindows etscape
binwindowsWin32s

It would be worth checking these files exist on your system.

Hope this helps,

Michael

Hi Greenstone experts, I downloaded and exported the CD-ROM package as instructed (twice). That is, I exported the files to C:Program Filesgsdlbinwindows, but my Collector still seems to think it needs the download. I also tried running the .exe files in that package, but they produce errors. What am I missing? Thanks...
