Hi Katherine

I read abd digested the DevelopersG guide manual last night and I came
across

I am using ZSH shell

root@serevr:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70/etc # echo $SHELL
/usr/bin/zsh

So I assume that it's not dependent on any particular shell Oops didn't
work anyway I run

root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 # source setup.bash

Your environment has successfully been set up to run Greenstone

root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 #
Your environment has successfully been set up to run Greenstone
root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 # mkcol.pl test2

Creating the collection test2...
doing replacements for collect.cfg

The new collection was created successfully
at /local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70/collect/test2
root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 #
root@nemesis:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 # mkcol.pl -creator
chuckTsmtl.co.uk test1

Creating the collection test1...
doing replacements for collect.cfg

The new collection was created successfully
at /local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70/collect/test1
root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70 # cd collect

root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70/collect # ls -lt|head
total 1
drwxr-xr-x 6 56736 1080 144 2006-06-30 09:05 .
drwxrwxr-x 3 root root 72 2006-06-30 09:05 test1
drwxrwxr-x 3 root root 72 2006-06-30 09:02 test2
drwxr-xr-x 15 56736 1080 1104 2006-06-27 15:18 ..
drwxr-xr-x 6 56736 1080 168 2006-06-01 05:36 demo
drwxr-xr-x 3 56736 1080 72 2006-06-01 05:36 modelcol
root@server:/local/sw/gsdl/gsdl-2.70/collect # cd test1
Thus I have all the sub-dir named collect.cfg

collect.cfg file::
# less collect.cfg

creator chuckTsmtl.co.uk
maintainer chuckTsmtl.co.uk
public true

indexes document:text document:Title document:Source
defaultindex document:text

plugin ZIPPlug
plugin GAPlug
plugin TEXTPlug

Thus I assume I way I go what is the next step as I am awre this is the
most important file that didn't exist prior to run without the
collect.cfg file.

Where is the best place to import a "collection" as the guide poits to a
CD which I do not have.

Cheers
