The hands-on Greenstone tutorials along with the sample data used for
each tutorial are all at

I found them very helpful in learning how to use Greenstone.

To do the tutorials, you will need to download the 2.84 binary of
Greenstone. You can grab it from http://www.greenstone.org/download
On the same page you will also find the link to the 2.84 Release Notes,
which has installation instructions and information on patches.
