Hi,
Your questions:

It took a long time trying to hunt this down, but it turned out far easier
than dealing with perl modules, or macro files.

(a) Changing navigation button labels to title case:
1. Go to the images folder inside your Greenstone folder ($GSDLHOME). If
you don't care about how it looks on printing, all you need to do is
adjust the style.css file:
Open $GSDLHOME/images/style.css

(Note: there is also a style-print.css file for printing, in case you also
want to adjust a page's appearance when printed.

If you were curious, the $GSDLHOME/macros/style.dm file referred to these
css files here:
to {
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/gsdl/web/style/style.css" type="text/css"
title="Greenstone Style" charset="UTF-8" >
<link rel="alternate stylesheet" href="/gsdl/web/images/style-print.css"
type="text/css" title="Printer" charset="UTF-8" media="print, screen"
>
<link rel="stylesheet" href="/gsdl/web/images/style-print.css" type="text/css"
title="Printer" charset="UTF-8" media="print" >
}
)

2. Now you've got the style.css file is open, go down to the "div.navbar"
style declaration and adjust it by commenting out the unwanted line as
I've done:
div.navbar {
min-width: 500px;
white-space: nowrap;
font-family: sans-serif, arial, helvetica;
font-size: 10pt;
font-weight: bold;
/*text-transform: lowercase;*/
border: 0;
width: 100%; /* for ns4 */
}
Reload your greenstone collection in the browser and make sure it did what
you wanted it to do. Now it should no longer be lowercase.

Keep the style.css file open, though, because we need it for your other
question.

(b) Collection names in all-caps:
1. In the same style.css file, find the section "p.collectiontitle" style
declaration and replace the word "lowercase" with "uppercase":
p.collectiontitle {
font-family: sans-serif, arial, helvetica;
font-size: 24px;
font-weight: bold;
/*text-transform: lowercase; <- commented it out so you can see orig. */
text-transform: uppercase;
white-space: nowrap;
padding: 8px 0px 12px 2px;
background-repeat: repeat-y;
background-position: top left;
margin:0;
}

That's all. The above makes the collection name appear in full capitals
not just in the main page but also in other pages where a similar
collection name banner appears.

Regards,
Anupama
