Yes it is possible:

If you have a network drive link to that other computer, just run the
gli from the network link.

If you dont have a network drive link to that computer, you could use a
remote building facility, details of this are available near the top of
the main www.greenstone.org page reproduced here:

Note: You will need to use the web library version of greenstone and apache.

This scheme allows users to augment and edit collections that are held
on a remote Greenstone server. Users work with a modified version of the
Greenstone Librarian Interface but do not need to have Greenstone
running locally. Multiple users can collaborate on the same collection
