Hi Michael,
I don□t need the attributes of the import files to be read-only, I was just wondered about the change in attribute ( I discovered this accidentally).

There are some problems using PDFPlug for PDF collection. As most of files are with security enabled, for not allowing copying of text, images and other content (using password security). These documents are not processed by PDFPlug, as these file doesn□t allow content extraction and are ignored while import process.

Thanks and regards,

I've tried making some PDF files in the import directory read-only and
the files don't change when importing/building. The files in the
archives/building/index folders are of course not read-only because they
have been copied.

Why do you need the files to be read-only? This attribute won't be
preserved when they are accessed through a web-browser. Perhaps if you
explain what you're trying to do we'll be able to understand your
problem better.

Yes, this is because you're using UnknownPlug. Is PDFPlug not suitable
for this collection?
