The easiest way is to generate metadata.xml files directly with a script;

You can then just import the images and metadata with gli.

You could easily do this with perl, you *may* be able to do it with a
mail merge in MSword.

I'd start with exporting your data as csv (MSaccess wont create useful
xml files) and then go from there.

You might even be able to do it with a bash script.
