I was working on that database for couple of weeks, now it is almost
ready. Doesn't matter that no one replied me on time, because i found
some (simply?) solutions.
> If I am not mistaken, the CDS/ISIS function for linking databases which you use is part of the print formatting language (implemented at the display stage) and is not reflected in the database structure, which is all the the ISISPlug uses to convert to Greenstone. Have you found a way around this problem? Is your collection up an available to the public?
This one was the easiest to solve, in fact i just automatically edited
some metadata.xml, where i used the function search and replace (i found
a unique string from the tricky field which was the signature of the
document). I replaced the signature with the entire metadata field.
But there are much more problems with the conversion to ISIS, like
making the fields correctly display in documentext there are more
different data in one field (divided by the same ^a) and using
AZCOMPACTLIST for authors, (where the data is separated in : ^a SURNAME
^b NAME) is quite impossible. Well, there is too much to write, but i
don't know if you are so deep interested.
Our beta is running http://tinyurl.com/28h9uc We will update soon.
Please feel free to ask any questions if you want.
