How did you fix your other problem?
Re indexes, I think only indexes that actually have values in them will
show up in the drop down list, so if you have assigned an index on a
particular metadata element that has no values in the collection, then
it won't show up.
You can also check in the filesystem,
...greenstone/collect/collname/index/build.cfg - look at indexfields and
indexfieldmap. This will tell you what indexes have actually been built.
If you can't figure it out, you could send me (off list) your
etc/collect.cfg and index/build.cfg for that collection and I can take a
