Subject [greenstone-users] Installing Greenstone on a Ubuntu
Hi,
I finally made GSDL 2.81 work in my Ubuntu 8.04 virtual machine, running on
the headless ubuntu server. Last error I solved was simply to "chmod -R
a+rw gsdl/etc") so I could access Administration Page and add users,
etc.... Right now am stucked at the GLI Applet, which shows the same
error.

Checking my GLI installation at my client computer in the intranet:
http://192.168.2.229/gsdl/cgi-bin/gliserver.pl?cmd=check-installation
shows:

Java found: java version "1.6.0_05"
Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (build 1.6.0_05-b13)
Java HotSpot(TM) Client VM (build 10.0-b19, mixed mode, sharing)

GSDLHOME: /gsdl
GSDLOS: linux
JAVA_HOME: /usr/local/jdk1.6.0_05
PATH:
/usr/bin/perl:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/gsdl/bin/script:/gsdl/bin/linux

Installation OK!

Where did I go wrong? Am anticipating your urgent help... Thanks!
