Hi,

You can set default values for the CGI arguments at the bottom of the
Greenstone "etc/main.cfg" file (note that this will affect all the
collections in the installation):

cgiarg shortname=k argdefault=1
cgiarg shortname=s argdefault=1

(I determined the argument name and values by looking at the source of
the Preferences page.)
