| Hi Shaoqun,
You sound like you know the answer to what I have been trying to figure out from the start. :D The place I work at has digital archive collections that are currently in CONTENTdm. I have successfully converted the CONTENTdm metadata for all our collections into Greenstone archive format with a perl script I wrote. I have read all the official and some "unofficial" documentation on Greenstone and have done a lot of experimenting w/ the GLI client and building collections from the command line. I couldn't find an easy way to import the metadata into Greenstone. The exported metadata from CONTENTdm is in the following format: <?xml version="1.0"?>
My guess is that this is Dublin Core Version 1.1? So if I have a file in this format with all the images that go with it, how do I go about making a new Greenstone collection using these files? I tried putting the CONTENTdm exported file (named export.xml) into the newly created Greenstone collection's import directory and building, but one of the output messages stated that there was no plugin that could recognize export.xml. Any ideas? Thanks for your help! :) - Gavin >>> <sw64@cs.waikato.ac.nz> 03/20/07 4:49 PM >>>
