How can I change the html code around a variable, such as HOME

HOME has the following html code

<a class="navlink" href="/gsdl/cgi-bin/library?
a=p&amp;p=home&amp;l=en&amp;w=utf-8" title="Home page">HOME</a>

where I would like to change the code in this specific case to

<a class="Menu1-Tab-Normal" href="/gsdl/cgi-bin/library?
a=p&amp;p=home&amp;l=en&amp;w=utf-8" title="Home page">HOME</a>

I could change the style sheet but I have other changes that our a
little bit more than just what class name is being used, but can't
find where the variables our stored.
