I have installed Greenstone 2.52 under windows XP home edition on my
notebook and have build a collection in English successfully. However
when I tried to build a collection in Chinese, I find that the Librarian
interface cannot display chinese character correctly. I have included
both GB and Big5 characters set in the Language and regional settings
under Control Panel. I can display both traditional and simplify chinese
in notepad and internet explorer. On another machine I have installed
Greenstone 2.51 under windows XP professional. In that machine I can
display and build Chinese collection using the Librarian interface. I
can then export the collection onto my notebook and it can view the
collection correctly.

I cannot think what I have done wrong on my notebook. I would be
grateful if you can help me in resolving this problem. Thank you.
