Subject [greenstone-users] Remote user error
I am assisting a class of library users with the remote version 4.1 of Greenstone.  Some of the users are ending up with zip files created and are unable to create a collection.  They are getting an error:
1) An error has occurred on the remote Greenstone server while performing this operation:  Collection archives zip file /opt/greenstone/collect/Matheny-Matheny-anameri1-archives.zip could not be created.  [can't seem to find this file that claims to be zipped]
2) An error has occurred on the remote Greenstone server while performing this operation:  Collection file building/build.cfg does not exist.
3) Exception detected during collection install:  The building directory could not be moved.  Most likely caused by Windows or Local Library holding locks on files.  Please make sure that none of the collection source files are opened in external applications, then rebuild.
4) An error has occurred which will prevent the colle`ction being previewed.

This user had removed the local version of the Greenstone software and was using the remote version.  I see the .zip files they created in the directory above their collection directory.  Can someone tell me what the users are doing wrong and how do we fix them.  Others have successfully created libraries on the remote server.

Thank you in advance.
