Hi

Re adding metadata:
you can also add metadata using an xml file: metadata.xml

This goes into the import directory along with your documents. Have a
look at the demo collection that comes with greenstone - this uses
metadata.xml files. Also, the developers guide "assigning metadata from
a file" section in section 2.1 talks about this.

Re links:
Are you trying to generate greenstone links in your html? if not, ignore
the following.
what exactly do you want your link to do?
Here is an example:
<a href='/gsdlmod?e=d-00000-00---off-0gsarch--00-0----0-10-0---0---0direct-10---4-----dfr--0-1l--11-en-50---20-about-Zineb+Naji--00-0-1-00-0--4----0-0-11-10-0utfZz-8-00&a=q&q=cat'>
the will do a search for cat in the current collection, using the last
selected index.
You may want to add &h=xxx for a specific index. if you are using mgpp
the links will be different again.

If you can't get it to work, please send me the links you are
generating, your collection config file (collect.cfg), and what you are
trying to achieve, and I'll try to help.
