When i compiling the source code 2.41a
(recpt/librarymain.cpp) i'm getting following error...
"gsdlconf.h is not found"
could any one tell me how to rectify it...or
else if i did any mistake in compiling process, please notify me.

I have already replied to you on the 4th of December about this issue. I
have put my original reply below. The new release of Greenstone - version 2.41
- is now out. you can download it from http://www.greenstone.org/cgi-bin/library?e=p-en-home-utfZz-8&a=p&p=download

The collection list macro (_homeextra_) is defined in the C++ code - in src/recpt/pageaction.cpp - in the set_homeextra_macro().
You can edit this method and recompile greenstone.
In the next release of greenstone due this week or early next week, you can change the number of columns of collections you have,
(eg add 'SiteFormat HomePageCols 1' to the etc/main.cfg file ) and if you choose only one column, it ends up being left aligned, not center aligned. So rather than edit the c++ code, you may
want to download the next release.
