Michael, I'm glad this helped you.

As for the metadata. When you're using PagedImage plugin you have to specify
the metadata in item files. For example, mine look like this

<PagedDocument>
<Metadata name="dc.Title">Item Title</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Date">20101107</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Creator">Author Name</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Relation">Path to PDF Version</Metadata>
<PageGroup>
<Metadata name="dc.Title">Page Group 1 Title</Metadata>
<Page pagenum="1" imgfile="jpeg/0001.jpeg" />
<Page pagenum="2" imgfile="jpeg/0002.jpeg" />
<Page pagenum="3" imgfile="jpeg/0003.jpeg" />
</PageGroup>
<PageGroup>
...
</PageGroup>
</PagedDocument>

or, if I don't want much hierarchical structure, like this,

<PagedDocument>
<Metadata name="dc.Title">Item Title</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Date">20101107</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Creator">Author Name</Metadata>
<Metadata name="dc.Relation">Path to PDF Version</Metadata>
<Page pagenum="1" imgfile="jpeg/0001.jpeg">
<Metadata name="dc.Title">Page 1 Title</Metadata>
</Page>
<Page pagenum="2" imgfile="jpeg/0002.jpeg" />
<Page pagenum="3" imgfile="jpeg/0003.jpeg" />
...
</PagedDocument>

As you can see, you can assign metadata to page groups or to individual pages,
but you don't have to assign metadata to all pages. There is a lot of
flexibility there.

There's a lot of great stuff about PagedImage collections in Greenstone
