There is a bug in GLI that prevents you from using File->New on a Mac
with Apple Java 1.5.

To fix it, you need to do the following:

Edit
greenstone/gli/src/org/greenstone/gatherer/gui/NewCollectionDetailsPrompt.java,
and at line 77 change
private String title_final;
to
private String title_final="";

Then recompile using makegli.sh (in the greenstone/gli directory).
