I am creating a Greenstone Digital Library for a project for a client, and
it would be prefered if the library was easily usable on a mobile device or
iPod Touch. I am not a developer, but I saw that Greenstone does have the
capability of running on an iPod. What do I need to do to get my digital
library working on a mobile device? I want the library to be easily
searchable and browsable as it will serve as a mobile field guide. Will It
be something that runs on the web or an iPhone app that someone downloads?
Also, if Greenstone can't do what I am am asking, is there a way to create a
mobile site using XML, and make it so it can still be easily searched? The
type of data I will be cataloging will be mainly photographs (with
hierarchical metadata) and potentially some audio.
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
