Yes, you have to type "library.exe" when using the web library version
of Greenstone on Windows. You might be able to set up some kind of alias
so "library" also works -- check the Apache documentation.

Some alternative to what?
Installing a web server exposes your system, not Greenstone. If you
don't need your collection visible on the web run the web server on a
non-standard port to reduce your risk.
