Hiro,

John had been a key part in helping us create the Bridges project. In a
nutshell, this is how we did it.

Scanned 600 dpi images with a filename that contained key identifies of
the image: book, chapter, page, resolution.

Created smaller versions and modified the file name for the resolution.

Wrote perl scripts to create html "wrappers" for each page with links
and metadata for forward, next, book, hierarchy, and different
resolutions. (the script looked for the next page and previous page
based on the filename)

Manually created a Hierarchy file for the book structure.

Greenstone then chewed through the html pages and used the metadata and
hierarchy info to create the collection.

This is obviously simplified but it gives you an idea of what we did.
John helped modify our version to display the book in the tree format
that you see on the site.

It's been a few years, so I may have forgotten something......
