This worked like a charm. Uninstalled Greenstone and reinstalled it under a different directory (avoiding the "..(x86)" directory) and it seems to be working.

Many thanks!

Hi Mark,

The problem you are experiencing is because of the brackets in your file
path. Up until we tested Greenstone on a 64-bit machine - where 32-bit
programs are stored in Program Files (x86) - we had not encountered file
paths with brackets before. It turns out that the Windows scripting
language (.bat files, like what is used to run GLI on Windows) handles
brackets in a way that we did not anticipate. We are working on fixing
this issue for the 2.84 release of Greenstone, in the meantime however I
would suggest installing Greenstone into a folder without any brackets
or spaces in its path (for example, C:Greenstone). Also, if you're
using a 64-bit machine please note that Greenstone is not yet officially
supported for 64-bit operating systems and it is possible you will
encounter other problems if this is the case.

Hope this helps,
Sam of the Greenstone Team
