Hello Egbert,

You can try deleting the config.xml file and restart the GLI.
On windows, that file is in "c:Documents and
settings/your-user-name/Application Data/Greenstone/gli", but it might be
different for different windows versions.
On linux, it is in /home/your-user-name/.gli
