Hello Jimi,

Greentone uses its own XML schema, and doesn't support third-party's one.
The schema ia available at
http://www.greenstone.org/dtd/MetadataSet/1.0/MetadataSet.dtd
through "view -> page source" of Mozilla

Greentone provides a tool called GEMS for creating Greenstone-compliant
metadata sets. Please look at the exercise on this if you are interested
http://greenstone.sourceforge.net/wiki/gsdoc/tutorial/en/gems.htm
And you can use GLI to load the newly created metadata and add metadata
values.

Hope this helps
