incredible! it worked, 6 GenericList's + 1 Hierarchy :-) no "Out of
memory!", no other error - stupendous. thanks a million!

of course, i have to look more deeply into GenericList in order to
get the sorting right and stuff like that. one "missing feature" i
encountered though: the GenericList with a comma-separated list of
multiple metadata didn't build, it's empty. does GenericList support
that? and if, what about an equivalent for the -allvalues option?
