The date stamps in our collections are incorrectly formatted for OAI. Since there are thousands of items, changing them all by hand would be a lot of work. In most cases, we need to change MM/DD/YYYY to YYYY-MM-DD, regardless of the specific year, month and day. Is there some way to export the metadata in a format that can be changed with a script and then reloaded into the collection? Changing the metadata directly with set_metadata.pl won't work because it changes specific values, e.g. 01/02/1995 to 1995-01-02. Is there some other way? Jim Hart Bates College
