Brad,

Your proposal is one of the ideas that seem reasonable in this case. I
also thought of using hasPart as well as tableOfContents. I guess that
Dublin Core is enough general that any of these schemes will work
satisfactorily. Moreover, I think that it will work in Greenstone,
provided that master document and sub-documents are, um, "documents" in
Greenstone terminology. However, if you are using documents and sections
(which naturally reflects the structure of documents), then there are
more problems, as this thread shows.
At this moment, this setup works fine for me, within Greenstone, but
there are problems with OAI-PMH, and I don't feel like restructuring my
collections. So, I'm looking at the source code in order to try to
modify oai classifier to work with section level metadata. Any pointers
from the Greenstone team would be very helpful.
