This solution works very well on my test collection.
I am using Greenstone 2.80, which I should have mentioned before.

Hi Michael,

Could you read the previous email I sent you first? But now, rather than the
file "HTMLPlug.pm" attached to that one, try using the improved version I've
included with this email. Though they both work for me, the file attached to
this email is likely to be the one that is committed to the Greenstone code
repository (which makes this file the more official one).
