No, I don't think anyone is working on this.
This is a problem not just for each time you access greenstone - each
time you change collections the url is reset to lose the e arg and
therefore your preferences are lost.

There is code in Greenstone somewhere for using cookies, though its only
used for logging - I think all we store is the user id. There is a
UseCookies flag in the main.cfg file to turn this on or off. you could
add stuff to this cookie to store preferences.

We would love to have this functionality, thanks for volunteering :-)
