Yeah,
make install copies all the binaries into the main "gsdl" tree - the
--prefix given to configure is currently ignored. You can safely move
the gsdl directory around and remove the "packages" and "src"
directories though, if you want. I'd like to see greenstone eventually
install "properly" but currently a lot of the scripts etc assume a
certain directory structure.

Installing properly into system directories would make it much easier
for other people to package greenstone for distribution, but I'm afraid
it's a fairly low priority at the moment sorry. I did do a little bit of
work on it... maybe I'll find some time to do so again....
