Hi,
I can see 2 things you could try.

1) Use ImagePlug on windows.
There are some messages in the mailing list archives about doing this.
Basically, the ImagePlug relies on the imagemagick package, which is
easily available and standard on unix systems. There is a win32 version
available that you could install - the messages also say you need to
rename a windows program called "convert.exe" that clashes with the
name of an imagemagick program.

2) Use HTMLPlug.
If the images are already on a webserver, you could simply import
an HTML file that links to the image's full URI, and add the "-nolinks"
option to HTMLPlug so that it makes no attempt to rewrite links.

This wont get any image metadata into the collection though - you'd have
to add it either to the HTML file, or use greenstone's metadata.xml
file to add arbitrary metadata.
