Hi Charlotte,

Subcollections are good when you have clear divisions in the collection
documents, and you want to search some or all of the divisions. As you
point out, they're also good to reduce the collection building time,
because you only need to rebuild the subcollection you're working on.

You're right that browsing does not work with subcollections. Typically
if you have very large collections browsing isn't very practical because
there are so many entries. You're usually better to use fielded
searching to find the items you are looking for.
