If this only happens with CDS/ISIS files you should add some debug
messages into ISISPlug.pm to see whether it is the IsisGdl program
failing. (Or, try running the IsisGdl program on your ISIS file directly).

If it is the IsisGdl program at fault then you might like to track the
problem down further by adding debug statements into it. The source code
for this is in packages/isis-gdl.
