Subject [greenstone-users] Installation problems- Vista and mac osx
Has anyone been able to successful install and run any version of greenstone
on Vista?
When I try to install greenstone 2.74b I get an error message from the
InstallShield Wizard that says ³The installer is unable to run in graphical
mode. Try running the installer with the ­console or ­silent flag.
When I try to uninstall version 2.74 I get the following error message from
the InstallShield Wizard: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: run Exception in
thread ³main² The basic digital library seems to work fine for 2.74, but I
cannot launch the gli or metadata editor. They open for half a second and
then disappear.
The other computers I have access to are an Intel mac running os x 10.4.10
and a power pc mac running 10.2.9. I spent months trying to get 2.73 to run
on the Intel mac and no luck at all. I have vast amounts of documentation
and error messages from that.
