Unfortunately, this has not been implemented yet in Greenstone. The
ticket 319 is for something that we want to do in the future.

How are you adding metadata? Are you using GLI?
Probably the way to do it at the moment would be to modify the dublin
core metadata set, or create a new metadata set, and have, for example:

you can use gems to modify or create a metadata set. Then you can add
that metadata set to your collection in GLI, and use GLI to add metadata.

Then, when you are indexing or building classifiers, you can decide
whether to use the english or romanian version or both.

For display, I think in format statements, you could do something like
{If}{"en" eq "en", [dc.Title_en],[dc.Title_ro]} - switching on
the l (lang) cgi argument to determine which one to display.
