Hi Gavin,

Try removing or commenting out (with a #) any lines in your collect.cfg starting with "indexes", "levels", or "buildtype"

You might have chosen to modify the navigation bar, but even if you did, and removed the search link from the navigation bar, the user could still get to your search page and search on the built indexes by typing the relevent link into their browser.

Hope this helps,

Richard.

I have one collection that, because of the nature of the metadata it has, I don't want a Search for it. I only want people to browse by the DateList Classifier I have setup. I have tried 2 things to remove the Search from the
SearchSubjectsFromDates

:

   1. I tried simply removing all the Search Indexes for the collection. (Hey, when in doubt... try stuff, right?)

   2. I tried overriding
SearchSubjectsFromDates

 in the collection's extra.dm file:

      package Global

SearchSubjectsFromDates

 {
       <a class="navlink" href="/cgi-bin/library?e=p-01000-00---0cwuyearb--00-1--0-10-0---0---0prompt-10---4-------0-1l--11-en-50---20-about---00-3-1-00-0011-1-0utfZz-8-00&amp;a=d&amp;cl=CL1" title="Browse by Years ">
      Years
      </a>
      }

Neither of them work and I know that hard-coding in a url the like of the one you see above is crazy, but I thought I'd at least try a few things before pestering the good people of this list. ;)
