You will need to use command line building as there is no update feature
in GLI yet. Populate and design your collection using GLI, then close
the collection and run (-keepold) and on the
command line. See the developers guide and mailing list archives for
more info about command line building.

Multiple users can use one installation of GLI, providing they can all
write to the collect directory. It even supports having a different
collect directory for each user - however, the greenstone runtime
doesn't support this, so each collect directory would need its own
greenstone server (and installation).

Another alternative is to run the GLI as an applet - multiple users can
build collections on a remote server. see
