I had asked my mother to look around for a Devanagari font for you, but
she's not had the time. Also she does not know much about UTF-8 and
encoding matters. I have no experience with Devanagari fonts myself.
What I will do is refer your question to the Greenstone support group in
the Indian subcontinent. They might be better able to help you.
