It looks like your Remote Greenstone installation is not finding Java.
1. What is the output of doing step 6 of
Does it look like Java is found? What does it print out for JAVA HOME?
2. IF it does not seem to find your java, can you open the file
cgi-bin/gsdlsite.cfg and edit it in a texteditor:
Near the bottom is the line
Remove the # from the front and set its value to the full path to your
Try running step 6 of
http://wiki.greenstone.org/wiki/index.php/Remote_Greenstone again and
see if the JAVA_HOME value appears alright now. If it does work, then
try to see if the rest works.
3. One more thing. Recently it came to our attention that there needs to
be a minor correction to the way the Greenstone 2.82 installer sets up
its gliserver.pl file. Could you make the following correction to your
file cgi-bin/gliserver.pl, since I see you are running it on Windows:
Open cgi-bin/gliserver.pl in a text editor and change the first line to:
#!C:<fullpath oyourgreenstone>binwindowsperlbinperl -w
Note the # at the start and the "bin" folder near the end.
(Perhaps it should be:
#!C:<fullpath oyourgreenstone>binwindowsperlbinperl.exe -w
Try the above if the previous one did not work.)
Tell us if the problems persist. In particular, could you then send us
the output for step 1 above?
