Subject [greenstone-users] gli on windows: bug?
Dear friends,

We're running a linux(debian)-based greenstone 2.72 server with a collection
of documents with core dc and additional dls metadata fields. We have no
problem (so far :-) using the collection with the gli web interface from a
linux/firefox client. But when we try to use it on some WindowsXP machines
with firefox or IE6/7 there is a strange behavior for all tested users,
including admin:
While opening the collection, we are asked through a popup window to merge the
metadata (f: fusionner les metadonnées) with three options: add, merge, and
ignore. Whatever solution we try, the dls fields disappear from the
collection and our metadata are inserted in the core dc fields. The only
remaining trace of our dlc fields is in the still intact "Browsing
classifiers" list.
Unfortunately some of our collaborators still use Windows, so we would be very
glad for every hint.
