I don't know if the GLI will ever let you edit collections on a remote
computer -- I think this would be a lot of work.

However, we do plan to add functionality to let users gather and enrich
files locally, then "export" them to a central computer where they are
built into a collection. I don't think we will do this in the immediate
future, however -- but remember Greenstone is open source, so you can
make the changes yourself if you want!
