Firstly, I think you will need to recompile greenstone for an intel Mac
as we don't provide binaries for that.
This error sounds like XML Parser error, maybe because expat needs
recompiling. So try recompiling greenstone and see if that fixes the

You can try running GLI in debug mode - from greenstone/gli directory,
run 'gli.sh -debug'. Do you get error messages there?
Try starting up a terminal, cd to greenstone directory, and run 'source
