I hope you didn't spend too long looking for it there ;)
This is a collection-specific "macro" - it is set, per collection, in
the collect.cfg file:
(for the greenstone archives collection)
collectionmeta iconcollection "/gsdl/collect/gsarch/images/gsarch.gif"

So it is stored at the collection level, in the GDBM file. If you change
it in the collect.cfg file, you need to rebuild to collection to get the
GDBM file updated. (Or you can cheat by using the db2txt and txt2db
programs to manually edit the contents of the GDBM file...)
