Hi Lynne,

the situation you describe sounds familiar to me (the lock problem and if you steal the control, enrich, etc. are not active anymore). I can just give you a hint about what went wrong, when I had these problems:
There were some symbols that I copy and pasted into the metadata record (the xml-file) of some files, that are not allowed (no utf-8 encoding).
If that helps, check the xml-file and see if there are some symbols like rectangles in the metadata.
