Hi Julian,

We don't have an Ubuntu machine to reproduce this bug with, but with
some more info we should be able to diagnose the problem.

1. After you create the collection, is there any output in the console?

2. Does the collection get created properly? cd to
collect/<collection-name>, and run 'ls -R'. Please send us the output of
that command. If the collection is being created properly, it should
look something like this:
.:
etc import log macros metadata new.col
./etc:
collect.bak collect.cfg
./import:
./log:
./macros:
extra.dm
./metadata:
dublin.mds ex.mds profile.xml

3. Are you able to open the demo collection? How about building it?

Please write back and let us know. If you don't get what I mean by
something written here, please also write back and tell me :)

Kind Regards,
Oran Fry.
