Washington Research Library Consortium (WRLC) is pleased to announce
the initial launch of a new digital comic book collection "Treasure Chest Fun & Fact" at http://www.aladin.wrlc.org/dl/collection/hdr?treasure The "Treasure Chest of Fun & Fact" was a Catholic comic book fondly remembered by generations of parochial school students. The physical collection is hosted at The American Catholic History Research Center and University Archives, Catholic University of America, a member of WRLC. The digital collection is an ongoing project that will include fifteen of the first eighteen volumes running from 1946 to 1963. Volumes 1-5, minus volume 4 which is missing and Volume 6 issue 1-3 have been digitized, with later volumes being added as they become ready. WRLC uses Greenstone Digital Library software to host its digital collections and an EAD Finding Aids collection. Currently, there are 19 digital collections available at the WRLC Libraries Digital and Special Collections web site (http://www.aladin.wrlc.org/dl/).
