Hi Jorge,

Please visit http://www.greenstone.org/mailing-lists
It contains links to pages from where you can subscribe to the
Greenstone mailing lists. I think the link you will want to use is
https://list.scms.waikato.ac.nz/mailman/listinfo/greenstone-users

update the collection from the GLI. I have had problems with images
associated to HTML documents, which are kept in folders with hash names
for each document, in a folder named
?Greenstonecollectcollection_nameindexassoc. Those folders with
hash names do not get updated, and I don□t understand the reason.

We will be able to understand your particular difficulties better if you
give us more specific information. Could you give us more details:
1. What is your OS? E.g. is it Windows and XP?
2. What version of Greenstone are you using? Greenstone 2.84?
3. Where are things going wrong? If you could outline the steps you
followed, and at what step things failed. Example: you pressed the build
button and an error message appeared, or things looked to build fine,
but your documents don't appear to be updated when you go to preview them.
4. Any more details on what exactly is going wrong? What, if any, are
the error output messages shown in Greenstone's Create Panel. Could you
go to GLI's File > Preferences > Mode tab and set the mode to "Expert".
Then rebuild by pressing the Build Collection button in GLI. This should
now show more detailed messages including, hopefully, on where things
are going wrong.

If there are no error messages in your build log output (in GLI's Create
panel), maybe there are errors in your Greenstone server's error log
files. Please look for pertinent messages in your Greenstone
installation's apache-httpd/<your operating system>/logs/error_log and
mail any lines that look like error messages to us.

Sending us screenshots of where and how things are going wrong when
browsing your Greenstone Digital Library collection can also help.

Thanks,
Anupama
